Kimonos in Arashiyama

Shinkansen

We took the high speed train from Tokyo to Kyoto. I was a pleasant ride, very smooth.

I like these rides the best because I can listen to eat a bento box, listen to music, and watch the scenery.

Kyoto Arashiyama

20 minutes west of the city center, Arashiyama is located along the Katsura River at the base of the Storm Mountains.

The  Togetsu-kyo Bridge is a wood/concrete bridge passing the river. It’s packed with tourists.  Too many of them. I did at least enjoy trying various foods along the way.

I was starting to rain but the light was very good.

Kyoto Tower spotted on the way back. Not really into towers.

We had to wander a bit to find the right place to eat. Would have been some good photo ops, but it was raining quite a bit.
